Brace removed yesterday! Arm weak as a newborn and a bit sore, but now on to recovery. Fishing season may come late for me, but I’ll still get one.

What are the slot limits for striped bass where you are? Just curious.

R U dragging wire and snapping "chutes" for the stripers? We picked up a couple of large BSB for the table last week. Damn those are great eating.

No Pete lite tackle,, spro bucktails and slow drop jigs,,, jigging in about 30 ft of water what a blast. The inexpensive 7 ft ugly stick was bent in a complete U. Lol 🤣.. I always think of the old commercial for ugly sticks when the wife takes her husband's fishing rod and throws it in the trash compactor and walks away pissed off he pulls it back out and he's going to go fishing with it later on.

Cool... We used to target big "cows" every spring wirelining parachutes back in the day when we were peddling the catch. Finally after decades that method took its toll on the upper body. Now we've been pitching soft plastics with light spinning gear on 8lb test. A good run of 6" squid in the Sound and the rips have been holding slot size stripers. Fairly abundant this season which is a good sign the stock is rebounding. Great story about the Ugly Stick... Shakespeare sold a ton of them; can't readily kill 'em!
