Hi All
I am looking at purchasing a 2006 2660 cc which has no trailer. My trailer supplier needs to know the distance from the bow eye to the stern. I have found the trailer spec drawings for the 270cc which I believe is close to the same, but I can't find the dimension for the 2660cc, even in the archives on sailfish.
Any help is appreciated.

You can try to contact Sailfish to confirm, but you may already have what you need if you have the numbers on the 270CC. I think its the same hull but others on this forum can please jump in and confirm that.

Thanks Fishnfool.
I think I have seen your posts on THT. Did you own a 2660cc, maybe even in the Chesapeake bay?

Awesome. I’ll try not to overwhelm you with questions but it’s great to know if someone with that same boat in the area. Do you trailer it? The trailer that I am considering is good for 7300 lbs. Do you think that is enough. I did dry weight (4050) 2-150 yamahas(1000) fuel, water and some gear and got to around 6875. So it seems like I’m okay. Any real world numbers you could share?

I do trailer my boat but my trailer has an 8500lbs capacity. Your trailer capacity should be adequate. The boat is a load with fuel so I wanted a more robust trailer since I take my boat down to NC. Daves Trailers in Glen Bernie set my trailer up with my boat on it to include setting torque weight for my truck. I highly recommend having your trailer set up with your boat on it.

Torque weight? I think you meant to say tongue weight. Indeed that is an important item to ensure level load being towed and also stability at all speeds. A load that is too light or too heavy at the tongue can tend to fishtail or try to come around your vehicle when you stop or cause the tow vehicle to be front light which can affect steering and braking. The adjustment is on the bow eye post to shift boat weight fore or aft on the trailer to get the tongue weight right.

If you think you're at 6875, bear in mind you probably forgot a few things, and put's you pretty close to the 7300 pound limit, for the marginal difference , depending what it is, to step up to an 8500 pound capacity, you probably won't regret it and probably saves a bit on maintenance costs over the life of the trailer. For whatever my 2 cents is worth.

Thanks for weighing in on this. While I agree that you can almost never have too much trailer, this will mostly be used for storage since the boat is wet slipped and it may make 1-2 trips per year for vacation. I also have no intention of towing with 200 gallons of fuel, which I have fully accounted for in my numbers.
