I don't get that far up north, but I've been noticing a lot more Sailfish boats in the Manahawkin area. A few years ago, I might see one or two, but over the last 2 years, I've noticed a lot. Marine Max seems to be doing alright with selling them. I often wonder if the owners that I pass are on this board. There are a few in my lagoon. I should mention the forum when I'm passing by.

I am just getting ready to get out for some off shore efforts... Coming out of Raritan bay, but I have a place in Seaside and I think I've seen *three* there. Saw a fellow selling his 23 Ft. WA, said he was upgrading to a 27 WA that he was buying out of Maryland. And then there's Mike who has his place by Mike's ABG....
There's a lot of squid talk here, and since I don't have RADAR on my boat, afternoon bite is a good idea. I need a course on squidding, most importantly, *where* to find them..... conditions (depth, terrain) or numbers... any advice welcome...

I left my boat in Key Largo for this summer, sold my house in North Jersey where I lived for 27 years, so I knew my summer would be shot packing, cleaning out etc.... There's a good forum with lots of good guys and good reports for our area called barnegat Fishin Hole, I'd recommend checking it out.

It's been an odd offshore tuna season this year. It started later than normal. Early season east wind and rain kept waters colder. Blue fin have been in warmer waters while yellow fin have been taken in colder water not the norm. The past two and a half weeks the bite has really slowed down. I'm fishing east of you guys in NJ from south of Block Island to the Coimbra wreck south of Shinnecock inlet. Has the bite been better west what's fishing like off the NJ waters ?
