What's the story with the starboard base plate under the LP?

Took out the livewell leaning post. Needed to cover the holes in the deck that plumbing came through.

Baseplate runs under the entire LP. Removed old leaning post with large live well that was never used. Preferred to have the cooler and added storage under the LP.

Baseplate runs under the entire LP. Removed old leaning post with large live well that was never used. Preferred to have the cooler and added storage under the LP. Exactly the reason. Also the welds on the back rest would snap. Was not a very sturdy design. Having the cooler in the stern made for a large out of the way fish box.

Oh so this is boat barry? I thought it looked familiar. You did a lot of work on this boat.

Yes we did. You know how it goes you personalize it with everything you would like to have. then by the time you finish life changes. My son Marc travels every other week, his oldest daughter is in college. With his younger only 2 years behind. Me I just turned 76 and don't fish as much as I used too anymore. No reason to hold onto it any longer. A real shame because the boat does not look it's age. The motors run incredibly strong. I had the motors and fuel management hooked up to the Garmin. Also added the heading sensor so when you are at anchor the boat actually shows its true heading on the gps (not doing 360's on the screen). My next thing was to interface a garmin radar to the 12 Inch screen. Left the Raymarine radome in place for ease of running the cable. The garmin radar is just plug and play. The auto pilot is interfaced with the gps also. Seeing alot of 2660's with 150's. Not necessary to run as hard with the 250's. Also the 4 blade wheels get you up on a plane real quick. Shame to let her go, but as I said life moves on.

What pitch do you have on your 4-blade props.

Originals were yamaha 14.5/8 x 23. New ones are mercury offshore 14 x 19. The 3 blade wheels has very little stern lift and the pitch got me to about 5400 wot. The smaller size and decrease in pitch gave a better ride, handling. The bow does not come up where you can't see in front without going wot and then backing down. Will stay on plane a lower speed than with the 3 blades.
