For those of you that are apprehensive about navigating an inlet on a hard outgoing tide... THIS is how to do it safely. It's not easy. And it feels really awkward with the bow way up... but NEVER go faster than the wave!
This is exactly how I enter an inlet in these conditions. I've actually done this on my boat in the same inlet, Haulover in Miami, about 3 years ago.

That looks like what I ran through last week, it was about 1 mile long.
