Looks like the folks in Florida are going to have a rough holiday. Hope everyone stays safe and there's minimal damage.
In the mean time, we had a pretty good weekend planned. One granddaughter heading up to St. Paul with her mom and dad to start college next week and we have the youngest granddaughter staying with us. Picture is where I spent the time most of last night:
Youngest had played with a puppy a family got from Island Rescue. Turned out the puppy had rabies. 12 people ended up at this hospital last night to get shots due to the one puppy. Several hours later my granddaughter got one shot in the arm, and one in each leg. Labor Day we'll be back for another shot and the last one will be Friday. Hopefully, it will go quicker than last night, but the only place you can get the shots is at the emergency room.
Definitely not the holiday we had planned, but I guess a lot of us are thinking that this holiday. Stay safe.

That's terrible! Sorry to hear that, that's no way to start off the holiday weekend.
Hopefully this rescue place got an earful. One would think any of the dogs they turned over were seen by a vet and with all shots.
Those shots will take care of it but damn not fun. Good luck to you and the family.

Guess I can't complain about my Labor Day weekend getting ruined by hurricane prep...

How did that happen I thought the skin has to be broken. I'm sorry your grand daughter has to go through that, my understanding is those shots can be painful.

Puppy broke the skin on my granddaughter's hand (don't puppies always?). The shot in the arm was like any other shot, but the ones in her legs hurt. Luckily the leg ones are only once. We've been back for the second one in her arm and have 2 more. Other than a little soreness, it's all fine.
