Hello Sailfishers, I sold my 2004 236cc in April and have been searching for a replacement and I finally found a new boat. Just bought this 2009 Sailfish 2660. 2017 Zukes 200 hp, 289 hours and 3 1/2 years of remaining warranty. Fly by wire controls and 4 control gauges. Simrad EVO 12” GPS, Auto Pilot, and Radar. All NEMA connected. Fusion radio with JL Audio speakers, sub and amplifier. Hard top, LED lighting, thru hull transducer, eisenglass, covers for engines, leaning post, center console and gunnel. Deck is immaculate and all cushions were reupholstered by Sailfish in January. He threw in an electric rod and reel and 7 boxes of tackle. Took her out yesterday with a couple of buddies just to cruise the river and enjoy being on the water again. Engaged in the celebratory shot of Captain Morgan's and got a sunburn. So glad to be back on the water in my second Sailfish. Schoolin'Round II

Awesome, congrats and nice to see you back in the saddle!
I have always liked the orange and love the white zukes. Very interested in hearing about performance numbers with that set up.
More profile shots with the motors!
What's your take coming from the 236?

Thanks guys. I'll send some profile shots with boat next time I'm out. Numbers are from yesterday...not perfect but best I could get. Two guys, half tank of gas, light 10-15 mph south wind, no chop. 4000 rpm 2.25 @ 28 mph 4250 rpm 2.50 @ 30 mph 4500 rpm 2.40 @ 32 mph 5000 rpm 2.25 @ 37 mph 6000 rpm 1.25 @ 46 mph It's running Suzuki props 3x16x21. Spoke to the mechanic that put fitted the props and I could get more top end if I went with lower pitch but it would lose some hole shot. It jumps out of the water. Bow never blocks my view. Night and day over the 236. We hit some big boat wakes, I never went under 30--had to test it, and it just plowed through. No hard banging. I loved the 236 but this is a nice upgrade. And I really like the Autopilot. The organge gelcoat does need a detail.

No idea about props for that set up, but I think you can do better. I get 51-52 mph out of my Yamaha 150’s, turning 5500-5600 rpm. 28-30 mph seems to be the hulls best fuel economy, I get about 2.5 turning right around 3000. Just think twin 200’s should do better....unless maybe they are significantly heavier?

I talked to the mechanic that worked with the previous owner on the prop setup. He said I could reduce pitch and easily get into the 50s and improve gas mileage. However, the hole shot would be significantly different. I guess I'd have to try a set of 19p or 17p to compare. Engines weigh 530 lbs. without oil and prop.
