I am getting a new 245DC and I asked the dealer to put double sided snaps on the cockpit canvas that shares the same snaps with the isinglass. HOPEFULLY this will allow me to leave the isinglass on the boat while being able to also snap down the cockpit canvas. This way I don't have to constantly take down the isinglass in the early spring and late fall when I dock.
QUESTION: Since I obviously don't have experience with the boat yet, does this make sense? Any other ideas?

Be forewarned, if your tops piping is powder coated I would not recommend having your dealer drill holes into it! I think you will be very unhappy when the powder coating starts to bubble and flake off. Oh and there's no easy way to repair it and do not expect the factory to warranty it. They will send you a bottle of paint for your troubles.

The double sided snaps will be on the cockpit canvas. This way hopefully I can snap down the cockpit canvas and then res so the isinglass on top of the canvas

For where they have to put snaps on the powder coated tower, they have glue on snaps that work, your dealer put them on for me. I wish I'd done what you're suggesting, to be honest, if I had done that I might seriously consider not shrinkwrapping. After a windy winter the shrink wrap causes minor scratches/scuffing everywhere it rubs.....
