Just bought a 2006 2660. Fighting to keep up with the rust stains on virtually all of the bright-work on the interior. I am trying to avoid acid based cleaners. Has anyone else had troubles with this? If so, what would you recommend to help?

I highly recommend this product. It actually puts the protective layer (chromium) back on which is what makes stainless "stainless." It also removes the surface iron. Your boat likely has the issue because someone has used acetone or the like to try clean the stainless which is the worst thing anyone can do, as it removes the protective chromium layer. Keep up with your stainless and aluminum by applying Woodys Wax periodically. www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00PIRSB7E?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

On my endless list of things to do is to uninstall and rebed as much of the hardware as I can. This video is pretty good.

I have the same year and model boat. Fighting stains is a never ending story for me. Removing/loosening the metal components and bedding them with marine silicone helps a lot. Also, the type of soap you use helps. I found woody wax ultra pine boat soap causes the least rust stains. West Marine boat soap is the worst. I get the most stains around the grabrail attachment points in the bow. I have not figured a way to remove the rail.

Of course I've been using the pink West Marine crap, lol.
