Good Evening, I hope everyone's fall has been good, don't know how many of you are looking forward to the winter - I just make the best of it and keep fishing on the ice but that's another thread.
Last month I relined my brakes on the trailer, I went with hose instead of the shitty tubing that only lasts a year or so in the salt environment. Today I added a couple of pieces of fiberglass deck material to the forward part of the trailer where I step when launching and retrieving. Those of you that don't trailer this will be useless. Those of you that do then it may save yourself from an embarrassing moment like I had ....lol..

Good idea and cheaper than a trailer ladder. As we get older we have to work smarter not harder. I’m sure you built this because you load and unload the boat by yourself. If so, I can relate.

Great idea, trailers do get a tad slippery (says the guy who can speak from experience...)!!

I went the hose route this summer when the tubing gave way. Good idea on the step also.

Good idea. The fiberglass grating is strong but watch it carefully in the sun/salt that it doesn't get brittle. If the cantilevered parts should break when you are stepping on it, it will cause a nasty cut on your leg.
