January is back this morning the wind chill was negative numbers,,, it's not so hard to look at my boat, and wonder why I've got it covered.

At the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel air temp 39 and water temp 48, and it's a bit windy Direct winds gusts CBBT N 22.0kts 31.1kts 3rd Island Wave NE 6.6 ft STEEP Offshore Waves NNE 11.2 ft STEEP I had to wear a long sleeve shirt today for the first time in weeks. But, next weekend it'll be back in the upper 50's low 60's. It's been a strange winter so far, but no doubt it's winter today. I hear the whales are back near Cape Henry, but I think I'll put off whale watching for another day.
Here's a pic from Rudy Inlet in Virginia Beach showing why no whale watching for me today.

It just got cold (for N.C.) here but without any real frontal passage. So at least there won’t be any mosquitoes while we watch plastic ducks bob in the water with no real ones around.
