Look up greenstreamtv. Pay $240 for the box and your first year of service. Then $65 per year after that. Similar to other streaming services but they have a store in Melbourne so you can go talk to someone if you need too. I pay $52 per month for AT&T Internet to use it. I’m saving about $160 per month. I like it way better than all the other options I’ve seen out there. Good luck.

Get a Firestick! I personally have one. The smartest decision I ever made. You can download Kodi and download add ons to watch shows and movies on. I bought one and I have access to every channel known to man and it’s free. I also live tv apps for live tv I haven’t paid for cable in months

I got rid of Direct TV and AT&T almost 2 years ago. Bought a Amplified HD over the air antenna. Mounted it in my attic so it is not affected by the weather. Purchased Roku sticks for 3 televisions. Using Sling BLUE package along with there cloud based 50 hours of DVR per month. Needed to also get the "Lifestyle" add on so the wife can watch Hallmark Channel. Also purchased a "Air TV" box which is a DVR for over the air channels. My internet is 400MPS through Spectrum. Internet is $49.98 per month, Sling is $42.80 Total cost is $92.78 per month. Getting the same channels and service that I was paying AT&T and Direct TV $212.00 per month. No weather related outages as I would get with satellite. If you go the OTA Antenna route for local channels, mount it indoors.

I'm a Roku guy but we are still paying a fortune for Verizon Fios. We've cut all of the movie channels though.

Looked into this some time ago....
Internet - You will need to upgrade your service performance and possibly equipment. Without bundling, our service would double in cost at $84 per month. If you figure 4 people streaming simultaneously at 4k, you will need a minimum 200GB download service, probably looking at half a gig.
Channels - Netflix, Hulu, Sling, Fillipino channels was upwards of $110 per month
Equipment - About $100 per unit for a MAG box with a good processor and 4GB memory x4 at $400
Internal Network - I had already put in Cat-5, so I was well equipped, But it was $600 for a managed switch and dedicated firwall. Using open source software. Consider you infrastructure and what it will take to install a wired or robust wireless network.
Local programming - Will be lost. Will need a decent antenna on each TV or go old school with a roof mount.
Ease of use - Remember the days of 5 remotes for each room? Get used to it. Then consider the wife and your or her parents who are virtual technological retards and you have to run around the house all day switching devices, streaming apps, and channels for them so they can watch their shows. Kind are fine with YouTube.
Glitches - Buffering, low quality video, audio getting out of sync, dodgey channels, "flipping" channels and waiting 30 seconds.
Went back to Xfinity and I have internet, TV, devices, and home security for about $45 bucks more a month. And we can still watch Netflix and Prime on their devices, so there is no switching. My wife and dad can just talk to the damn remote or ask Alexa to do it. The $45 bucks is worth every penny of my piece of mind.

There is no need to pay for cable now. Lots of steaming services have live tv, including lots of live sports channels. And infinite DVR capability. See YouTubeTV. Still don’t know what that has to do with no streaming Nats.
