Hi guys. First post, learning a lot here. Looking at a 2010 2660. Had it inspected today and it has some superficial stress cracks in the gel coat, but this one in the transom has me a bit concerned. I’m 19 hours away, so I’m trying to this all remotely. Thoughts and opinions welcome!
Guess I can’t list a pic. Probably need more posts. I could email the pic if some one could help me lost it. Thanks!

Is it on the transom or the white cap?

I saw your post on THT. That is NOT the transome, that is the cap, totally cosmetic, not uncommon and very minor. www.thehulltruth.com/boating-forum/1063315-transom-crack.htmlThat occurs at or near radius's because the gelcoat is thicker there. As with any boat purchase, get a survey. If you are in or around Annapolis I can show you similar on my 600+ hr 2010 2660.

Thanks guys, been in a volleyball tournament all day. I passed on the boat. There were lots and lots of little things that told me the boat just wasn’t as well taken care of as I would like for the money I’ll be spending.
So the search continues. It’s too bad. I really like the 2660!

Cosmetic issues can all be addressed with time and effort and a good cleaning. Without a survey from a professional to look beyond the Cosmetic issues bothering you, you really have no way of knowing. Just because a boat is dirty doesn't mean that it's not a sound boat. Good luck with your continued search.

Thanks guys. It wasn’t just cosmetic issues. It was a lot of small things that A. shouldn’t have been broken and B. weren’t fixed. It just spoke to the care they took on the boat. Live and learn. It may be for the best. It caused me to look closer at some other ones on the market and I had a nice talk with someone who seems to have taken extremely good care of his rig. Hoping to see it in person soon.
