Bear with me. I’m looking at a used SF 2660 online and will be seeing it in person soon. I fish with downriggers and have always used a traxtech track system for riggers and rod holders. Looking at all the pics I can find, it looks like access to the aft of the rear flush mounted rod holders on the gunnels is tough. A yo have any thoughts or ideas on that? Thanks!

i've also fished with the Traxstech tracs for many years. Started out mounting them directly to the gunnels , as that was our only option. When Jeff came out with the gimbal mount option , my prayers were answered. I do 50/50 fishing and boating with family and friends. Being able to just pull the trac out is very nice. Back to your getting past the back gimbal. The trac can go at least 12"s past that gimbal. My back downriggers sit south of the gimbal, that leaves me space to put a Cleat in the trac to hang bumpers off of them. Plus having the downriggers near the back gimbal, at your back corner of the Sailfish, would place them in the sweet spot for working the downriggers.
Good luck with the 2660 search. They are well worth the effort.

Depends. Port side should not be an issue. Starboard side depends on what’s there, livewell or sink? Any speakers back there? How flexible are you??

That seems like it would spread out the stress and pressure but 💰💰!

Livewell on the starboard side and looks like speakers close to the deck both sides. Not sure my arms are long enough to make that reach, but that’s probably my best option

The trolling bar is heavy, after 3yrs of use, I haven't had it move while fishing. I trailer the Sailfish an average of 300 miles to the Great Lakes, so I put the Trac in the F150 for the ride.

Nice Job! Always a tough job to drill holes into your boat. If you haven't already, take a look at Traxstech "tool holder with beverage holder. I use mine a lot while trolling. Doesn't take up that much room in your Trac.
