The other thing to keep in mind when getting quotes is that often times the quote will be based on a lower liability amount e.g. $100k vs $300k which is what I carry now or they will quote on a much higher deductible e.g. $1k. My policy has a $500 deductible which is now $0 because I had a disappearing deductible. I'm going to lose that $0 deductible now because my carrier is dropping boat insurance.
The other thing is they all seem to include medical coverage. If you have health insurance this really isnt needed, so I $0 it out which helps a little.

The med pay doesn’t cost much and it pays first. So if you have a $2000 deductible on your health insurance, you can carry a $2000 limit in med pay which will cover your deductible. Ask me how I know this ha ha. The same is true in auto insurance.

Good point if you have a high deductible. With my current health insurance I waive the medical payment on my boat coverage.

I will check with Foremost Foremost has a good policy, just make sure that the quote is with an "Agreed Value" policy. Foremost and other Ins. Companies have Non-Agreed Value policies that are cheaper. It's not a bad idea to check your policy every year to see what your Sailfish is insured at $$ and compare that with what they're selling for $$. A lot of us have made improvements to the Sailfish, keep your receipts, that would back up your justification of a higher insurable value in case of a claim. Yes I have an agreed value amount on the boat and I have a friend is going to do another survey so I can actually have it insured higher.

My agreed value might be high at $65k but my current agreed value under my current policy is $72k which has been the same value since I bought my boat. I'm paying $571 per year currently with $300k liability and $900k+ in position.
