All this warm weather really helps! Last weekend got thr lower gearcase oil done Today I drained the oil in both motors only to realize that I had only ordered a single 5 quart Mobile 1 high milage, enough to do one motor. Added the oil to one motor and order another 5 quarts from Walmart. Hope to finish the oil change up by Wednesday, then it's onto to the water pumps/impellers. I did notice today that one of the tilt trim hydraulic seals was sort of blown out, it's not leaking but the seal in areas is sticking out so I'm sure its only a matter of time. Add it to the list. Order the Yamaha spanner wrench.

I hear you,i took so much apart this fall im kicking myself in the ass now. The warmer weather has been great for an early start and I needed that this year. Water pumps done lower units sitting in the basement. Hull is waxed and looking great All fluids have been changed and ready to go. I need to change VST filters, and F filters both look like a PITA job. Both trim seal kits for starboard motor. Making templates for Seadek should Finnish that tomorrow. New helm seat and back rest cushions in the basement. Pull out draws for all tackle trays, another fun project. Bottom paint, last of all detail top side. Maybe my to do list will help you feel better about yours. Lol One project at a time.

One of the fun things about a fairly new boat - not too much maintenance yet. I do need to wax, and work on a few minor things (arrange tackle better, etc.). I'll have to do the second hundred hour maintenance soon. During our abbreviated winter I topped off the batteries and fixed the captain's chair..who would have thought anyone would use plastic parts to lock the seat in place? They're metal now. And I tried to update the maps on the Garmin only to get the insufficient memory message. Guess I'll have to leave the SD in to use the new maps.
Hey, it's a boat! They always need something. My high school best friend was the engineer on a tug boat for several years. After listening to a few of his stories believe me, our boats make it an easy job to keep them running and up to date.

Ha just you wait! I really dont have that much to do really, but I do have a tendency to make more work for nyself.

Oh and I need to replace the injectors in the starboard motor, but that'll be last. What were the symptoms that made you realize you need to change your injectors. At slow idle speed my port motor RPMs will sometimes drop almost like the motor is about to stall. Def a fuel delivery issue. My VST and other fuel filters have all been changed so the process of elimination lead me to try changing out the injectors and with 600+ hrs and 10 yrs on the motors without any kind of cleaning figured it cant hurt.

One water pump/impeller down... Had a bit of a bitch of a time with my woodruff key this time. Had to use some penetrating oil and heat, but it finally popped out.
One more to go...
