Okay, Virginia is now on lockdown probably until sometime in May... or hopefully in May. I last fueled the boat February 23 and after taking it out riding grandkids around then and again March 1st, it's roughly at 1/2 to 2/3 tank. It's in the boatel which is right near the water. The tank has more than required Sta-bil. Assuming normal octane degradation I think filling it up before taking it out in May would be safe to leave the current fuel in and just keep adding fuel on every trip for a month or so to get rid of the low octane fuel. However, if it moves to June I'm not so sure. Pumping it out may be a problem, but if it's bad I'd rather replace it than take a chance.
Anyone have advice on when to say it should be pumped out?
Sure be glad when we can start going back to a 'normal' life. I really feel for those that are suffering and hoping we can limit the growth of this virus until cures and vaccines are found.

No worries here in New England it's common for our boats to sit for 5 months never had any issues you've already treated with a fuel stabilizer so you're all set

What Glen said. I've laid mine up for 6 months in the off season. If your fuel has a stabilizer you're in good shape. Top off with fresh fuel when you get back in the boat.
Change out your fuel water separator after you run through the tank if your still concerned

Thanks for the answers. Even on my home gasoline I use Sta-bil and still try to run everything (lawnmower, power washer, generator) at least every 3 months and run until all fuel is out.

You will be fine. Just top off with fresh gas when you can get back on the water.

I filled mine up in Sept. Still pretty full. Been out once. Its real gas though. I am not aware of octane loss. I have only had concerns about ethanol. If I need to pump it out, let me know. I have a pump, just need hose. I can fill up the gassers in the driveway. The weather has been horrible here. Windy.
