Hello Captains !!
I hope this finds ALL you healthy, safe and happy. In other words, Tight Lines, Fair Winds and Following Seas!! I am in a dilemma. I have owned a 236 and a 2860. It's interesting now as I am looking at a 270. I just recently noticed that the 270 doesn't have fish boxes in the deck as the 2860/290 does. For my 270 Captains, do you ever wish you had the 2860/290 due to the lack of any of the following: Space, Capabilities, Stability, in general Anything you can think of?? The 270 I am looking at is a 2019. Thoughts and knowledge from all captains are always welcomed.
Thank You!

Just purchased a new 270cc and it has a fish box in the foreword deck.Always like bigger and more room, but this serves my purpose and then some coming from a 218.

THe 2860 is a later generation Vds hull compared to a 2660/270...which equals to a drier ride and no ventilation issues (as explained to me by a friend at sailfish) I had a 2360 and while it was a soft ride, it was damn wet in tight GOM chop.
I would really test out that 270 in rough seas, your 2860 may have spoiled you.

Hey JSKI ~
The 2860 spoils everyone! That's why you never see them for sale for long!! I know what you mean by rough seas. Definitely checking all angles.
Tight Lines, Fair Winds & Following Seas!

I have never wished I had the 2860 just because of in floor boxes. I do wish at times I had them. I've never regretted my purchase decision though.
They are so close in size that if I ever decide to move up in size I would be looking at something in the 29/31' range. That said, I dont have any plans to move up because the 2660 fits my needs/wants as she sits. I have been upgrading her over the years to make her more modern and capable.
Love my 2660, it is an excellent riding boat.

Hey Fishnfool ~
Thank you Captain for the the video! She looks like she rides well in that chop. I greatly appreciate your time.
This is the package I am looking to get. Trailer included! 5 Years of Warranty for the 200XCAs too.
I live on Kent Island so, hopefully we will see each other out there soon!

She looks LOADED.
Love the black piping!
Drop her off on the way home with Mike at Mike's Marine Custom Canvas in VA Beach. He made me a beautiful 5 panel custom curtain set up. Hes the best around.

YES YES YES! The fish boxes! I also with my leaning post had the storage to the back instead of the 2nd livewell but YMMV on that. I would have settled for smaller fish boxes in the back on my 270 rather than none.
