Does anyone know if that center floor storage area in between the port and starboard bow fish boxes has a drain. I was cleaning up today and opened that hatch and there was about 8 inches of water in there. Does this have a drain to the center bilge pump area and maybe it's blocked? I have had small amounts of water in there before and I figured maybe the drain was blocked so I would just sponge it out but this has accumulated from over the winter. Thanks.

I’m sure it does, my 2860 does and will stop up from time to time. I have access to the drain from the hatch on the front wall inside the console. I run a piece of wire or heavy mono up the drain and it clears it every time.

On my 2360 it drains directly into the bilge. The drain hole is VERY small and easily gets clogged.

Against aft wall in the center. For what it’s worth, I added a gasket to that lid to keep debris and water out, works well. I didn’t get fancy, it’s just a roll of foam weatherstripping from Lowe’s. As thick and wide as I could find. I think it’s been on there 5-6 years now no issues.

Good idea. I did that to my stern live well lid. Don't know why I didn't think about doing it to that lid also. Hope I can locate that drain hole. Maybe it's under the holding tank. Thanks time2fish.

Well I couldn't locate the drain to clear it. I think I might have to take the holding tank out to find it. Or could I drill a hole in the deck in front of the holding tank and put a drain in there? Would a drain in this area drain into the bilge? I don't know what if anything is under the deck there. Don't want to be putting holes in the deck where they could damage something below. Thanks in advance.

Dirty D, I had the same problem with water filing up in center bow floor hatch of my 2660. There is a drain running under the waste tank and here is how I cleared it. Behind the toilet like you mentioned is a 6 inch or so access point to the sea cocks for the head. Reach your hand in there and about 1.5ft straight back towards the holding tank there is a wall. If you feel around you will find the 1/2 inch drain pipe coming out of the wall that drains into where the sea cocks are. I took an 3ft HVAC tie wrap and shoved it through the hole into the forward compartment. It came out under the waste tank. I leave it there and when sand or whatever clogs the drain I go down inside the console reach through that access point find the tie wrap move it back and forth 10 times or so and you can feel it break the debris loose and water running onto your fingers. I would love to have a chat with the engineers that designed this drain as its poorly designed. Hope it helps... Gatorman

Great idea Gatorman. I'll see if I can get my big ass in there to find it. My bilge pump is right in the center forward of the sea cocks.so I'm hopinbg it's not in the way. And yes whoever approved that design location must have been drunk. Thank you.

Im 6.4 so me getting down in there and getting my arm to fit through that small 6 inch hole and then back to that wall drain is a PIA to say the least. its there you just have to find it. take your phone turn on the camera flash stick it down there facing forward and take a few pictures. look at the pictures and you should see it then.

ic Attachment DeletedWell Gatorman I took pics and found it. Right in front of the bilge pump and not much room to get the HVAC tie in there but I got it in far enough to get the drain open. Mine is a 90 degree elbow drain and it was difficult to get the HVAC tie to make that bend then hit the bottom of the holding tank and another 90 degree bend a that point. Was going to attach a pic of the drain but the site won't let me. Says this forum is at it's limit for attachments. Thanks for your help. BTW my bilge pump is a Rule 750. I thought these were supposed to be 2000 like the bilge pump in the stern area. Thank you again for your help. Tight lines to ya.

Dirty D, No worries, Awesome I knew you would find it.... That's weird my drain goes strait through maybe yours was built on a Friday but we both have the same year hull 2008 so I would think it would be the same. My pump forward is a 2000 I believe so not sure why you have a 750. Not to derail the thread but I see your in Raleigh so am I. I fish out of Wrightsville as I have a house down there. Man the winds wont lay down will they? I have been trying to make a stream trip but the weather window wont open up. Mahi May is right around the corner. Do you run too Swansboro hole at the break when you fish? Gatorman-

Hey Gator, I fish out of Atlantic Beach and go out of Beaufort inlet. Closer to the stream than Wrightsville and we have a place in AB. We also fish off a 48' Buddy Davis Sport Fisher docked at Capt. Stacy Fishing Center, the Wet Dream. We should try to get together sometime. Yes we fish from the 800 line up north down to Big Rock area, Rise, Swansboro Hole, from 18 fathoms to 100 or more, just depends. We fished Friday on the Dream and it was a beautiful day but we didn't get any love. Had one wahoo bite on the planer rod but the line snapped. I think it had a nick in the braid. Kinda wish I would have taken my boat and went bottom fishing. Put in at the Rise and trolled down to SB Hole and past to the Yellowfin Hole. Went inshore and offshore from 120' to 360'. Temps were 72.2 to 73.1. No fliers or weeds no life but was the first trip this year and wanted to see how the Buddy Davis checked out. Not much chatter on the radio either. A few here and there. Here is my number if you want. 919-369-7865. My name is Dale and call or text. If I don't answer leave a message. We are always looking to meet new people to fish with us. Thanks, Dale

Awesome Dale that Buddy Davis has to be a sweet ride... We fish up that way too when we don't get any love south of you at Same Ole, Nipple, Or D-Ahole. That run to the Rise and Swansboro hole is 75 mile run for us one way out of Wrightsville. I ordered a 33 Onslow Bay last July with trip 400 V rods to be able to cover more ground quickly. I love my 2660 but I need something bigger and a lot faster. I think I'm going to fish some King tournament's this year as well. It should go in the mold in the next month or 2 hopefully with what's going on in the world. A Buddy of mine caught 4 nice hoo's off the planer rod, a nice tuna way back pulling a bird with a green machine attached and 4 sailfish around the nipple a few weeks back. He was following a good SST shot and had a fish here map from SWC Captain Dave. We defiantly need to hook up I will be down there this weekend but the forecast doesn't look good offshore. I got your number and will hit you up next time we plan to go which will be the next weather break. Big Mahi should be here soon! Gatorman/Clay
