Quick question for those with isinglass. Di you recommend removing the windshield from the center console? Saw that Reelkul did this and got me thinking.

I’ve still got mine on, but if i had a good place to store it I’d take it off.

Mine is still on. I take my 3 piece enclosure off during the summer.

I did not remove mine. It doesn't bother me and provides a buffer when I run in the summer with my stratoglass front windshield in the up position.
I leave my front glass on all year. I only put it down in the summer if it's raining, rough, cool at night or my wife and I go out for dinner so she.doesnt mess up her due fresh.
It can get warm in the summer so I like the flow of air so it stays up 90% of the time.

I took mine off but then put it back on. I have a half moon zipper in my stratoglass and I open that when nice out and the windshield deflects the wind and spray but still get a nice breeze. Its also much clearer looking through the windshield with the stratoglass open versus just looking through the stratoglass. To each his own!

On my old boat (Albemarle 242CC) I took the windshield off. I used to get a reflection on the Eisenglass of the boats wake. I found it quite distracting. This boat has the windshield also. But when I sea Trialed it the half moon was opened and rolled up. I will see what happens when it is down.

I appreciate all the responses. Looks like it's a toss up between personal preference and functionality. I have the half moon zipper and can roll up when needed.

For what it’s worth, I don’t have the half moon zipper and I run with 3 pieces down all the time and wings either rolled up, or down depending on conditions.

Must be another reelkul, because the the real ReelKul still has his windshield on and no isinglass

I think the answer to this may lie in the latitude of your usual boating area.

When I get my 3 piece enclosure done, I plan to remove the windshield. The problem I may have is the T-Top cross bars block access to some of the fasteners.
