My son ran the boat today. He called and said the windshield has to go. He said at the point you look out the windshield bends back and causes distortion. I will check out what he is talking about. Does anyone here have a distortion issue?

Any chance you are looking to sell it? I can install it on your old boat I smile every time I see that boat. Do you think it will fit your boat? Check your measurements and let me know. opps, that was me, just forgot to log in!

Does anyone here have a distortion issue? He must be quite a bit taller than me to have that issue, not that that is hard to do!

He is about 5/11. I see what he is talking about the windshield curves back a few inches from the top. Now that I know about it I can really see it. So I took it off. Added some silicone sealer to the holes and put the screw with the grommet into the hole. I put the grommets from the back side of the windshield in a container in case I should put it back on.

Another reason why I removed mine if you run at night, it really helped not to be looking through the windshield.

Damn you guys are giving me another project to do. And it looks like I have to start going to the office next Thursday cause Gov. DeSantis started Phase 1. Now my time will be limited. Oh well, great to be back with everyone shortly.

At the risk to sound like an idiot , were you able to remove the windshield without moving the t-top ? On my 236 the t-top seems to be in the way of the windshield screws

I’m curious as well. Doesn’t look like i can remove the windshield without at least lifting the t-top.

The windshield is only held by small screws with rubber grommets you get a tool that will allow you to do that angle and remove the screws. Absolutely don't try to move the t-top

You have pics of the problematic fasteners? I can remove all mine with a standard Phillips screwdriver.
