Hi, I have a 2003 236. Have owned it about 3 years now. Love the boat and the ride so much that I just repowered with an E-Tec G2 250HO. Mine was a pretty stripped down 236, but thankfully spent the majority of its life on fresh water lake in SC. It lives in MA now and spends its days in Buzzards Bay.
The quality of the construction is great and I am reminded of it when people ask if it’s a new boat.
The Evinrude, while new and limited hours so far, is a beast. It replaced the original 200 ox66, which was also a great motor.
Happy boating.

Welcome to the forum Chris. Had an ‘04 236 myself and loved the boat. Interested in your Etec performance numbers as well.

Thanks guys.
With the 200 ox66, I would see a top speed of 41mph. Didn’t have the flow meter, and never bothered calculating consumption or MPG. 3 blade prop.
With the G2 yesterday I hit 51mph. She still had more. This was in Buzzards Bay with some gentle chop, but not flat calm. At a ‘relaxing’ 40mph I was burning about 11gph.
Between the Evinrude gauge and the N2k connection to my Simrad has have more info than I can even process after one trip. Lol
