This may be a stupid question, but what do 245dc owners use to pour ring free and stabilizer into gas tank? I just use a measuring bottle and funnel, but using funnels is a messy when storing them. I was looking for a measuring squeeze bottle but haven't found one.

There something funny about the DC fuel location that makes it difficult? I just pour right from the bottle on my CC.

Yes - the fill cap is vertical and in a funny location on the side

I just pour mine in directly. Occasionally have a little spill when the bottle is new, but otherwise no problem. I guesstimate the amount, so no measuring. I have to admit it isn't the best place for the fuel fill. It would be worse if it was on a trailer, but I fill it at the dock.

I don't measure, I just guesstimate. You cant add too much. I probably end up adding more than should.
That reminds me, before I just filled up, i added Startron but forgot to add Ring Free.

I just pour directly from the bottle, pretty sure it has measurements on the side of the bottle, so I use that as my reference. You take delivery yet? I took mine out of there Saturday, they have a new service manager, seems like a nice guy.

Got one more question: They gave me 3 canvas poles with the boat. Two are straight adjustable height poles, I use one for the bow cover and the other for the cockpit cover. However the cockpit cover does sag a bit. But the 3rd pole is height adjustable and forms "T". I have no idea what this is for? Did you get one of these and can you shed light on how to use it?

Sorry, I have the covers, but have never used them. Interested in the answer though.

You don’t use the covers - do you worry about fading and sun damage?

LOL!!! I had the same problem when I got mine. The T pole is for the front bow cover canvas. It's a bit of a PITA to set up, because it's hard to get the snap in place. I usually extend the pole so it's a few inches short, and snap it into place with the snap in the center of the cover BEFORE I snap all along the windshield. Then I finishing all the other snaps, and crawl under the bow cover to fully extend it. I have found it better to put the T perpendicular to the keel, so it points from port to starboard, as opposed to bow to stern, in order to shed water. Once you get the hang of it, it's not too bad. The other spot I had problems with was on the cockpit cover, because there is no snap on the transom door, it allows the cover enough slack to collect water. As far as I could tell there would be 2 solutions, add a snap to the cover and the center of the door, or get one of these, www.homedepot.com/p/Homax-CinchTite-Multi-Purpose-Tarp-Clip-4-Pack-2615/203495590 and a bungee cord and use it to keep that spot tight. Works great. Good luck, are you keeping it there?

Thanks - it was driving me crazy. I would have never figured it was for the bow - how did you figure this out? Now - was I given just one extra pole? Because I assume you use 1 straight pole for cockpit? Also, I assume you bungee it to the rear starboard cleat?
Also, I am keeping it on the Navasink in Red Bank.

You don’t use the covers - do you worry about fading and sun damage? My boat is stored in a boatel, so no issue with sun or fading. I was considering getting a slip and using a HydroHoist ( www.boatlift.com/product/harborhoist/ ) so I wouldn't have to paint the bottom, but then I got to thinking about sun damage and decided the boatel (where I've had my last 3 boats) was the best option for me. A trailer isn't a good option for me as Virginia Beach has laws about where you can have your boat when trailered.

I figured it out same way you did, someone else told me! I use one pole for the cockpit, the other is a spare I guess. I attach the bungee down to the swim platform, I found the cleat doesn't allow the bungee to pull in the right direction.
