have a deposit on a leftover 2019 242 cc w/twin 150's. Waiting for sea trial. Not that impressed with wiring, fit n finish. Looked in bilge found rag tucked way in the side of hull w/what appeared to be a white greasy substance, very wet in hull but boat was in showroom. maybe I'm over analyzing but would appreciate feedback on current owners such as soft and dry ride, etc. Mostly for family use, back n forth to beach. THE WIFE DOES NOT WANNA GET WET, LOL. Just a jump in and go boat. Is it worth owning??? Thanks!

Just finished the 10hr break-in on my 2019 242CC with twins. Boat runs great in rough water. Had her out in 2'+ breaking waves and 20~30k winds. Got sprayed a few times but can manage with trimming boat and speed. Hard to avoid wind blown spray on days too rough to get ahead of it in this size boat. Those are the days to stay at the dock if don't want to get wet. I ran a 218CC for years and that hull for its size was incredibly sea worthy. SO I expect the same here.

If your not impressed with the boat why did you place a deposit on it ? All center consoles can become wet under certain sea conditions. Maybe an express style boat would be a better fit for your needs. 99% of the members here are extremely happy with the Sailfish brand. I think you may be over-reacting, I'm sure when and if you take delivery you will enjoy the boat. BTW most all C.C. boats have curtains made for the days when seas become sloppy. Good luck, post some photos....

This is my 3rd CC. My first was a 243 Edge Water Marlin, 2nd was a Albemarle 242 CC. My 3rd and last is a 2660 Sailfish CC. All 3 were/are excellent boats. The one thing that they have in common as a center console is they will ALL get you wet. That's the trade off plenty of room but the possibility of a wet ride. That is why curtains were invented. Don't overthink it. Do the sea trial and make your mind up and enjoy. You are never going to find a perfect boat. That is why you take your time and customize it to your taste, and how you will be using it. Good luck to you and let us know what you decide.
