Never been in one but looking for a first boat and this Sailfish model looks like the best in class. I need a trailer and unfortunately the budget is 30 or below. Thanks for any consideration

With a budget of 30k I think you will find yourself a nice 218 with trailer. The 218 is an awesome boat it won't disappoint.

Good luck with you're search. Just sold my 218 after 9 good years. Fantastic boat for it's size.Would still have but wanted something bigger for my last years of boating and stepped up to 270, Rob

Thanks for the confirmation. I have read and been told they are a nice ride and well built boat not to mention attractive. Anyone know of another way to find a good one? I have looked on internet but have not found much. Thanks

Thanks for the info and encouragement. Not the time of year to buy only sell. I did find an edgewater 205 that might fit the bill. Never seen one before. Has anyone had experience with that boat?

I have a 2004, 218 Sailfish with trailer in great condition that I'm thinking of selling. I live in Maryland. Had back surgery and stay in a shallow river fishing in a Carolina skiff right now. I took it to Florida a month a year for the last 3 years, so trailering isn't a problem. New tires and wheels last year and a drotto hitch for easy hook up at the dock. Engine about 970 hrs, and balancer replaced when I bought it on Yamaha 150. Injectors cleaned and flow tested about a year ago. Can test run anytime. Thinking $24,500.00

Thanks for the reply. I found on that recently purchased. It seems to be a great boat, nice ride for a 21. Few things to fix/upgrade but hopefully will make us a nice boat. Thanks to the forum for the responses and efforts. I am sure i will be utilizing some of the knowledge that is in the archives
