Nice. How often do you have to pull it to clean the bottom sitting in that wet slip?

On my last boat a Albemarle 24 cc I had a diver come down every other month. The bottom was really not an issue. It was the out drive that would get loaded up. Anti fouling paint would not hold up on the drive. As long as you use a good bottom paint you have no real problem. My slip is at the edge of the ICW so I get a lot of nutrient flow which translates to a lot of growth. Because this was a non painted bottom, I had 2 coats of Barrier coat and 2 Coats of Pettit Trinidad hard epoxy anti fouling. In about 18 months I will have it repainted with an ablative paint. The boat yard told me it's best to put an ablative paint over a hard paint. Now that I have outboards I probably won't need the diver as often. But only time will tell.

Dang I thought you'd picked her up already! Awesome, congratulations! She has been here for about 3 weeks. I needed to keep her in the water to get a line for the bottom paint. Also needed to get the motors serviced and chase down some wiring gremlins Now if the weather decides to cooperate If anyone knows where the switch to the fan that doesn't stop blowing, please let me know.

Btw my old man was on a sub tender USS Orion, a Fultom Class tender, when he joined the Navy coming out of high school in 1954. Not sure when you were in. We toured the sub in the Baltimore harbor many years back and he remembered working that sub when he served.
He later went to college then joined the USAF serving initially with the 99th Bombing Wing during Vietnam, awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, and having served 26 yrs. He passed back in February. Miss you Dad.

I was in from 1967 to 1973. Got off active in 1971. Was stationed in New London on the USS CORPORAL SS346. She was a diesel boat (aka smoke boat) as opposed to a nuke boat. Her sister is still in Charleston SC USS CLAMAGORE SS343. The boat in Baltimore is the Torsk I think. Also a smoke boat. Cold war days, a very interesting time of my life.
