Considering buying this as our first family boat--been trying for years and my wife is finally considering it but she wants it to be comfortable. It has a Yamaha 150 with low hours. Curious about other's experience family-wise:
- How is it at pulling skiers/wakeboarders with 4 adults and a couple kids on board? (Not a primary use, just once in a while.)
- Is it a pretty dry ride in the rear jump seats in 2-3ft seas? (We'll be pretty close to home when kids are on board.)
- Is the space available for a porta-potty reasonable for an adult to fit in?
- Can you fit four adults and four small kids comfortably if just putting around the harbor?
Many thanks! Hope to be an owner soon!

I thought it was a great family boat with all of the bow cushions and jump seats and we had a family of 4, but everyone's needs and expectations are different.
2 to 3 foot seas??? Nobody is comfortable in 2 to 3 foot seas esp true 3 footers. The 218 will handle it fine.
Never pulled a skier but should pull a tube just fine.
It is an excellent riding hull in small chop.

I currently have a 220 same boat. It works great as a family boat. The high gunnels are great for small kids. It can be a little cramped fishing in the back if you have cooler under the leaning post. It rides dry enough in quartering sea with the wind blowing you will get wet in almost any center const. It handles head sea very well . I haven’t pulled skies yet but doing it with four adults and a few kids might be a bit hard on the motor IMO but that’s what the sand bar or Island is for. Just drop a few people off .Or have a lower pitched prop for the days you plan on pulling skies.

Have the exact same boat and motor with a 4 blade Solas prop. It does fine as all above have noted. We've pulled more tubes than skies, but it does well. Built in ladder and platform make it relatively easy to get in and out. As noted, you wouldn't want to fish with more than 2 adults and maybe 3 kids, or 4 adults. We've snorkled and scalloped out of it to everyone's enjoyment. I've run 8 people out to scallop and it is pretty piggish, but the boat will handle it.
Good luck!
