I'm assuming the drain is at the bottom of the locker and it's simply a thru hull hole. Never spent any time to look though cause my anchor locker drains freely. I could see how the drain hole could get clogged with muck from the anchor. I know I've pulled in a muddy anchor and chain a time or two.

Pull anchor out and look down the tube the shaft of the anchor stores in. Again this is a 2360. The sides of my anchor locker seem to be the inside of the hull. Might yours have an insert? I don’t know, but I can see the inside of that clamshell thru Hull as soon as I pulled anchor out. Nice shiny new anchor I might add! (See fishing report) It’s the black circle down in there.

I have nothing like that. I just have a V shaped well there is a access cover on the aft bulkhead but that is it. I spoke with Aaron of Seminole marine. He told me that the newer boats the anchor locker has a drain that "T's" into the overboard drains for the fish boxes. He did not know about the 2005 2660. The only thing that I could do is to drill a hole at the bottom of the well and let it drain to the bilge. What I have found strange is with all the rain we have had, the dirt that I found at the bottom of the well was dry until I started spraying it with the hose. Just very strange.

That tube is just the anchor storage set up. Anchor turns upside down, shank drops down that tube, stock sets in a couple rubber holders each side. But if you ignore that, it is just a v shaped storage locker. That drain is all the way down at the bottom. It’s got to be under that mud I’m thinking. But then again, my brain is trying to make your anchor locker look like mine.

I flushed out all of the mud. There is nothing in there now except the rode. My anchor sits on a bow sprit. I am going to go back tomorrow and take all of the rode out and take a picture of the well.

Not yet going to try that tomorrow. I was told the clamshell is for the fish box drains.

I found an old photo that shows the clam shell just aft of the eye. The overboard drain for the fish box is way back by the pole the boat is tied to. Hope this helps.

Found it!!!! The over board drain fitting is about 1" in diameter it is almost at the bottom of the well. There was so much dirt that it could not be seen (as you can see by the photo. I was able to clean it out as much as I can. I flooded the well a few inches above the fitting. It did drain, a little slow but it still drained. The next time I haul or beach the boat I will remove the clamshell and clean it out from the outside. Also found the overboard drains for both fish boxes above the water line, on the port and stbd sides. It is a learning curve for me thanks for all of the help.

Me too the darn thing was making me crazy. Working on the next project of rebuilding the outriggers. The internal plastic sleeves were cracked so the buttons were covered up. Sent them off to TACO for repair. After that I am going to have a friend clean up the wiring. Looks to have been done by Helen Keller and Moe, Larry and Curly. I have bus bars going to feed other bus bars with wires that go nowhere. I have a switch panel under the helm that I am not sure what it controls. The other day I accidentally knocked off the switch that said auto pilot and it shut off my trim tabs. It's all good though, I think that will be the last of the gremlins for a while (I hope).

At least it’s on the water and running! Seems to me your last ride spent a lot of time ashore. It seems it’s always something. Was running in the ICW today near Swansboro, all of a sudden my Simrad just turned off?!? Dig around on the wires, found the power connections, negative was real loose on the grounding bar. Did make me think how much it would stink to loose GPS offshore! Anyway, glad you found the drain.

That's why I have a Garmin backup. The Raymarine is very voltage hungry and not very user friendly. But it's there I am hoping to change it out in a year or so.
