My apologies for being lax. The rod holders are installed. They are 15 degree Gemlux. I will take pictures and post them tomorrow. The forward ones are 30 degrees the ones that I just installed are 15 degrees. The aft ones are 0 degrees. The ones that are mid ships have backing plates behind them. The ones that are installed by Sailfish do not, because there is no way to access under the gunwale. But where the mid ship holders are you can get access.

I’m just getting ready to do that on a 290. Which boat is that in the pic? Did you run into any problems? I’m going with swivels for 130’s.

I’m just getting ready to do that on a 290. Which boat is that in the pic? Did you run into any problems? I’m going with swivels for 130’s. That is a 2005 2660. The area where they are placed has full access to the underside of the gunwales so it was easy to install them with GemLux Backing plates. Instead of getting swivel rod holders look into these. I have them on my stern ro holders for my planer rods. Just drop them in when you are going to use them, take them out when you are done. That way you can use the rod holder for other purposes. My holders from stern forward are 0 degree, 15 degree and 30 degree. Here is the link. West marine sell them but I am sure you can find them elsewhere.

Those drop in swivel rod holders are great. I take them with me when I fish with others on their boats.
