Every year my friends and I rent a house in the Keys for the month of July. First two weekends fishing was great. I can only be at the house on weekends due to my work. Yes, we caught all the fish on the same spot. Couldn't get to the YT past the mangroves. The mangroves were so thick behind the boat, we could have almost netted them. Tried casting past the mangroves to the YT, but they were too far.

The weather sucked this weekend in the lower keys. Friday and Saturday thunderstorms prevented us from going out. Sunday was windy, so we went to the reef. Limited out on Yellowtails. Attachment Deleted

Last week of July, lobster mini-season. The two day event was a total mayhem. The most boats I have ever seen in the lower keys. This was all because the county closed all public ramps north of us. Our usual spots had dozens of boats. In the years past, there was one, maximum two boats at our normal lobstering spots.
