Has anyone replaced a baitwell pump yet? Mine hasn't worked right since day 1, finally fed up with it and ready to replace it, wondering what I'm getting into, what brand pump it is, anything I should be aware of? Not much room to work in there, any pro tips appreciated. Think the 241 is same as the 245.
Thanks.

Sailfish has to fix my pump and the tech from MarineMax is wondering how he gets to it on my 2019 245DC. I looked at where it is and man is it going to be a challenge. I would be curious how you make out. This is one area where I think sailfish really screwed up by putting a pump in a location that is impossible to get to to work on. Every car and boat has something that looked like it was put in place then everything else was built around it. I was all ready to replace my baitwell pump and had my dealer send me one. I tested it again...and it worked? Tested another day at the dock and it didn't. Not sure if it applies to your issues, but if I get the boat moving forward, even just at slow speed, it works. Seems it needs the pressure to force water to it's impeller before it will push the water up. Guess it doesn't have enough vacuum to suck it up if there is air between it and the sea cock. Of course, I don't remember seeing anything in the operators manual, but hey..my pump now works fine.
It does look like it would be awkward to replace, but not as bad as the me not being able to close the sea cock on another boat I had. My arms were just too short to close it no matter how hard I tried. At least I can reach the sea cock and the baitwell pump without having to grow longer arms.

My arms were just too short to close it no matter how hard I tried. At least I can reach the sea cock and the baitwell pump without having to grow longer arms. Initially I had a similar problem, it would work, then not work, then work. If I opened and closed the seacock it would work, then that stopped helping. Then I found, if I ran the raw water washdown, they share the same high speed pickup, it would work, then that stopped working, now it just doesn't want to work at all. Gilm - I also had a problem with my fishbox pump, but found that one of the wires came loose at the switch. Search this forum and you can find the discussion, I'd guess Marinemax checked it already, but you never know....
