has anyone added a fuel gauge instead of using the yamaha fuel gauge in the multi unit gauge? It is tough reading that gauge in rough seas. I like to run the tach mode and can not see the gas level. Also I don't feel the gauge is the correct level and was never calibrated. Thanks, Rob

Rob alternatively you can set and keep track of available fuel and consumption using the Command Link gauge. It just requires resetting everytime you add fuel.

thanks for the suggestions.Thought by having the fuel gauge I could get a rough idea of how much fuel I have. First yamahas with the command link and am having a hard time finding the right pages. This last time out saw the scale next to the tachs and thought that was the fuel level, wrong figured out it was motor trim. Thanks again, Rob

I find my Yamaha gauge a pretty good reference. It changes based on the attitude of the boat but I find it reasonable enough. I never let it drop beyond 2 bars, well okay there's been a couple of times pulling up to the fuel dock it was at 1 bar.

Don't waste your money the command link gauge is spot-on. Fill your tank set your gauge to zero and watch the gallons be recorded as used. All the other gauges are just a waste of time, because your boat rarely sits level while out on the water. My 2 cents.
