I am looking into buying a 2007 sailfish 2660 with Yamaha 250s. So I would think the motors are a 2006. So my questions are. Anyone have problems with the motors especial the exhaust on the motors? Any problems with the gas tank? Or any other problems I should know about? What are your likes and dislikes?

I have f250’s on my 2860 that are late 2007 models. I have around 1400 hours on them without any problems. I have heard about a few 250s with exhaust problems but i think it’s more on the 225s. The 2660 with 250s is a rocket ship. It’s a nice setup.

I had a 2003 Yamaha 225 that had the dreaded exhaust corrosion issue. I think it was limited to the first generation F-Series (2000-2005) but I would have a thorough survey done and definitely have him poke inside the engines. Good luck.

A mechanic should inspect the engine and scope the exhaust and hire a surveyor for the boat. Otherwise great boat.

Dang! 250s? I have 200 HPDIs on my 266 and it's pretty quick, I was recently on a 2660 with 150's and I thought it ran pretty good. I had dreams of getting 225's if I were to repower, but after rising on the one with 150's and seeing that economy had me second guessing.
