I've been dealing with it the past 3 weeks. Today is my last day in quarantine. My son got it first, in High School. He just lost the sense of taste. When we had him tested, he was positive. My daughter, wife, and I tested after that and we came back positive. We have no symptoms what so ever.

Fishnfool sounds like a well informed decision on your part. Admiral got the shot and things went smooth. Glad to know most with COVID doing well and I hope everyone has no to few symptoms. Sure will be glad when Virginia gets back to ‘normal’. Kids need to go to school, businesses need to get back to work. Media needs to stop force feeding us their hype on COVID. We were supposed to be headed down your way today for a wrestling tournament Sat and Sun. Needless to say that's not happening. Canceled our room at the Hilton Harden Inn VA Beach and our friday dinner reservations at the Hot Tuna.

Where do you guys think you got the virus from maybe the sport. Well I hope your both feeling better soon, and don't pass it on to the rest of the family. I assume I got it from playing hockey, I don't go out too much and suppose it could be a coincidence that I got it at the same time as that exposure but it came from somewhere else, but I doubt it. On the other hand, 10 other guys on my team didn't get it as far as they know so that's kind of weird that I would be the only one to contract it. maybe other guys got it and had no symptoms like me too, a possibility.

Sorry that it hit your house, this thing is everywhere still and I am stunned that states are now dropping mask requirements. Seems a little early in the game to me but what do I know. I got both doses of the Moderna vaccine and am happy I was able to. I lost my father in law to COVID, not messing around with it.

Been a miserable last 12 months. fishnfool sorry you're missing out on the wrestling. I've had worse times, but never a worst 12 months than the last 12. I did get out in the boat fairly much, but had to make reservations at least one day ahead of time, they closed early, etc. and they didn't even open the pool.
So sorry for the problems and losses so many have had. Looking forward to life getting back to as it was before COVID, or at least a lot closer than it is now.

O sh#t your son has worked so hard and had his mind set on becoming a state champion I hope this doesn't destroy his goals. Not to mention all the time you and your wife have committed to getting him to this point.

Still very proud of him but he was so disappointed because he knew goin in it was his match to lose. I think he got overly confident. He didn't even want to put his medal on he was so pissed. He is the better wrestler but just not that day.

Feeling a lot better today - day 4. Body aches are 80% better, no fever. I've been keeping up with taking D3 and zinc. Also last night I decided to try Vermox/mebendazole which has been show to interfere with the virus replication, kind of similar to ivermectin which has gained recognition for being effective against treating COVID. Both are medications used for treating parasitic infections. I am not sure if how I'm feeling today has anything to do with the mebendazole or just coincidence. All I know is, last night a cough started to come on and I was pretty achy, popped this pill and woke up with no cough, more energy, little muscle aches. Far from scientific I know but I'll take it.

Hang in there Chris. I got the Rona end of September with similar symptoms as you. Lasted about 4 days. I didn’t go to Dr or get tested. I thought it was a cold until I lost my taste and smell. I still can’t smell and can only taste about half what I eat. That’s the worst part. My dad who turns 75 in a month had it at the same time and he only had mild symptoms. As of now, I’m not planning on taking the vaccine either. Oh yea, according to Bidon, I’m a Neanderthal. This country has to open up and get back to work. If you are high risk, stay home or mask up. Take all precautions necessary but we have to open back up.

Thanks Richard.
Today is day 6, woke up feeling a little worse today and didnt sleep as well. This morning was a little rough, felt like a bad hangover, a bit more tired with some stiffness and aches. Took a couple of tylenol and my vitamin regimen, then took the dog on a 2 mile walk, fresh air felt good. Feel pretty good right about now.
I guess things can unexpectedly deteriorate rapidly for some between days 5 and 10, they arent sure why some people develop this more severe version and others don't. Lets hope that's not the case with me.
