Wait, I think I might be onto something...
What’s amazing is this pumped actually worked last fall...maybe it collapesed after that final button push.

My toilet will flush to the holding tank but I am not getting any water back into the bowl. Maybe my motor on the holding tank has gone bad.

Hey jski59 are you going to try replace the pump and get it working again? I have the pump model # if you need it. Don't think you will be able to read the number off of your unit. Jabsco Macerator self-priming waste pump with run dry protection. Model # 18590-2592. Post up if you fix it. Good luck.

Damn, you got every bit of life out of that crappy pump. I’d replace it with another shitty one just like it.

Lol, thanks for the part number! Got a pump on the way,
Ugh, not an easily replaceable item...the starboard pieces covering it were basically cut to fit the compartment and barely moveable.

That's nasty.. toss it all in the garbage and get a good porta potty. That's what I did. No more worries about holding tanks, pumps and thru hulls open to sea with valves that could fail.

The one complaint I have with my Sailfish is no holding tank on the 24CC. Porta potties are just plain nasty but a necessity if the wife/kids have an emergency.

Thats perfect, also no more smell. They have new porta potties out now, you can buy bag inserts for them and then place them in the potty and toss out with the rest of your garbage. you never need to make the Walk of shame to empty out the porta potty.. lol

After years of having salt water flush systems, the 245DC has a fresh water flush. Makes all the difference in odors. Only drawback is small boats have small tanks and the 245DC doesn't come with an option for overboard discharge. I have no problem pumping it out, but it can get full fast. Damned frustrating when out with 4 granddaughters and their friends and yes, it happened once. Luckily we were already headed in. Now I try and keep up with how often it gets used and pump it out when I think it's about 1/2 full.
Back when I had the ability to drain the tank overboard, I tried to clean it out each offshore trip to empty the tank and try to keep the odors down. Now with fresh water the odors are non-existent, but without the overboard discharge I have to make sure to manage pump-outs. Only slightly different than managing a porta potty.
If there's a new boat ever in my future it will have overboard discharge. If it was me jski59, I'd fix it.

Just following up that I got this squared away and it wasn’t too bad in the end (once I got all the old rusted pump pieces cleaned out). There’s a control box that mounts next to the pump that connects to the console switch panel.
The hardest part was working around the starboard top cover that would only slide out of the way a little bit. I ended up loosening the starboard hatch channel drain so I could lift it up and pull the board forward past it and the drain hose/holding tank vent host.
The pump out switch in the console was also acting wonky, but took the switch apart and sprayed it a bunch with CRC cleaner and that seemed to have brought it back to life...for now.
