Well, the sun and salt continues to show no mercy and I decided it was time to replace the T-Top on my 2007 218CC. The fabric wasn't so bad, but the cord was shot and it looks like the OEM top used cbrome-plated grommets which had become very grody. Of course, stringing the new top was only half as everything has to be rewired that is on top, as well as the slippery slope of things it touches along the way.
Here's my list of items I've completed so far:
Only thing I have left is to find a replacement gasket for the clear livewell lid. The white rubber gasket has separated from the plastic base that sits in the 1/4" routed groove in the lid.
I am tired on working on the boat and am ready for some running and fishing!
Old top and some of the string!

Here's my list of items I've completed so far:
- Replaced t-top with new 2-tone Weblon fabric with stainless steel grommets.
- Replaced overhead life jacket storage net with new Phifertex with stainless steel grommets
- Replaced 8' VHF antenna for 2nd time. I hope to better remember to lower it when passing under low bridges or entering the boat house!
- Removed old Raymarine GPS top-mounted antenna
- Replaced the oxidized Perko 1184 masthead/anchor light with same model. I found a deal on THT for the same one new at about half price. Ran new wires from it to the double-pole, double-throw switch.
- Replaced external older, rail-mounted Garmin 2006 antenna with a new one. I can consistently receive satellites now!
- Sewed new bungy cord into all the sagging cargo nets
- Replaced leaning post drop box. After looking for a replacement for a year, I finally found the exact replacement at Custom Marine. I mounted with seat catches with backer plates as that is where the old box shattered.
- Installed new Fusion stereo head unit after 2nd Kenwood stereo failed. Awesome sound!
- Removed, sent out and reinstalled one of the Yamaha gauges that I could barely read, after Gauge Saver refurbished it.
- Reshaped and sanded the console door so it will latch properly. For some reason, it got slightly out of fit with the frame and would blow open while trailering or underway, and I think it had bent the piano hinges somewhat.
