Asking before I start my research, but maybe someone knows off the top of their head:
Just noticed that the "House" rotator switch is broken. Someone on marina staff said they moved the boat this morning and it was fine, but when I got on board it was immediately noticeable that it was broken, but that's neither here nor there.
I need to replace it. Does someone know the manufacturer? Its a red rotator, one of two in a panel that actually has the sailfish logo on it. I figure it's an end of life issue, so I'm going to replace both. Anyone who has done that - I appreciate any tips before I get too far.
The other one, "Engines" is fine, but I have no lights, GPS, Radio, or toilet ((NOW I have the wife's attention - LOL). But I'm going to change it anyway...
For now, I'm going back down with some tools and a multimeter to see if I can rig something until I can get parts....
Thanks in advance
Stu

OK my initial search leads me to believe its a Blue Sea Systems m-Series Mini Dual Circuit Plus Battery Switch 32VDC in Red - 6011
I noticed the "M" on the switch when I first saw the issue. Will keep you all posted.

Holy sparks Batman- that's what failed with mine!! The retention screws into the plastic front housing all snapped and the thing was in pieces when I looked behind the panel!! Correction - the screws didn't snap, the red plastic did... (I'll post a picture when I get the pieces home..)
I've already ordered a replacement through my home marina (*not* the marina that moved the boat - that's my winter storage marina). I won't cancel on them because they've already given me the purchase price in advice and even loaned me a battery load tester so I could confirm the batteries weren't collateral damage. No charge for any of this on a *Saturday*. New part will be in on Tuesday - but I will ask if I can recoup the expense. It was an emergency repair after.... I had no instrumentation and a wife committed to Dock and Dine last night!
Back to a serious question - Each switches apparently has two configuration modes - independent and common. Each switch is in fact a Dual switch. So each can switch 2 batteries, and it can switch them as two "shared batteries" to the loads attached, or two independent batteries to two unrelated loads. Looking at the lugs on the back I *suspect* it was set in common mode. There is 1 battery lead going in on 1 post. There are two load wires on another post. But there is another lead going up to the battery management module on the *other* load post. So I suspect they want that all common, but there's no way to tell from the pieces that fell to the floor. Does anyone know the configuration?
Note, NONE of the connections on this switch involve engines....that's just the representative picture I found...

New Switch arrived - easy replacement and I'm back in business. Never mind my last question about "configuration modes". I was wrong: The two illustrations above pertain to the switch position on the front. That is normally just ON (and that means they are separate). In an emergency you can switch to "Combine" and share batteries, for instance, if one goes dead. Hoever, that doesn't work when the switch literally, goes to pieces.... as was the case with mine...
Thanks to all again.
