Have a 2017 270 and curious where is the best place to mount it? Took it to a dealer/marina where I live and they said there isnt a good place for it except near the water tank and it would be a big job because they'd have to remove the tank. Have to think there's a better place. Any help with pics or measurements would be greatly appreciated.

I call b.s.
I have both a B175H and L mounted about 6-12 inches forward of the transom on each side of the keel pad. Obviously I'm using the 20degree versions of the transducers...if you have an 0 degree version and are trying to go flat thru the keel, it would be tight but I still think it's doable without removing the tank.

I got the 20 degree as well. He said the water tank was in the way and there's no other access point. Needless to say I'll be getting another opinion. But thanks for letting me know where you mounted yours.

There's an area that's beefed up on the inside of your Hull you'll see it. I think I've got photos of mine Attachments:

I don’t think my 2360 has the extra raised area, but mine is roughly same spot, maybe 4-6 inches further forward towards bow.
