Ktval witch dash do you have? The early Sea Hunt style or the later wide space? That will determine you can flush mount and what you can screw on top. Rag’s

I have a Garmin 7610 And it’s mounted in front of me on atop the helm It’s on a bracket (I can’t keep the boat at the house fockers will steal anything of value left on the boat) Will you have the increased theft issue if you move your boat out of the current facility??
This is what it loOks like

Thanks all, I am thinking of replacing my c80 with a 7612 if it will fit. I just went through all of this. Why the 7612? I came to the conclusion the 1242xsv touch is pretty much exactly the same but with only 1 sounder instead of 2 sounders.

I appreciate the heads up. I have to check it out. When you say only One sounder what exactly do you mean? Does it have the side scan and down view and everything the 7612 has?

I appreciate the heads up. I have to check it out. When you say only One sounder what exactly do you mean? Does it have the side scan and down view and everything the 7612 has? The sounder is the part of the device that sends a signal to the transducer and receives and processes that signal. The 7612xsv has 2 so you can have 2 transducers at once. The 1242xsv touch has 1. You can use a GT51M with the 1242 xsv touch. I have one. I also have the B175HW connected to the second 1242 xsv touch. The 7612 xsv can connect both of these. I was going with 2 screens and only 2 transducers so I didn't see the need to have 4 sounders. I you are going to only have 1 transducer, you don't need a second sounder. I can't find any other significant difference between these units.
