Hi all,
Another question since I recently acquired a 2017 Sailfish 275 DC and plan to put it on a lift in SW Florida. I know that for trailering there is usually guidance on the support bunk placements to ensure that the boat is properly supported where the stringers are bearing the weight to the bunks...I've seen a drawing from Sailfish from the user manual showing dimensions of various hulls but there isn't an indicated sweet spot for bunk placement. I tried to attach the diagram here so we all could see it, but I can't seem to attach items to the forum as it think's I've already reached the max space usage even though I haven't posted anything yet.

My boat is dry stored. The rack is the same for almost every boat in the boatel. The wash racks appear to be spaced just like the storage racks and if placed correctly (not to one side) everything is fine.
Maybe someone knows if it's all that important, but I've been storing different boats for over 20 years and so far no problems due to improper bunk spacing. I'd think the trailer layout would work for the lift.

I agree that the trailer layout would be best for the lift bunk placement. Issue is that the stringer locations are not noted on the diagrams I've seen, so neither the trailer nor lift placement is clearly lifting at a stringer point. I'll see what I can find out from Sailfish customer support. Thanks for the responses to my two recent posts, I appreciate it!

You didn’t reach your maximum the forum has which means our moderator, a great guy that give a lot of his time to keep the site functioning, needs to delete some pictures so new ones can be added.

Might be open to photos now since the admin did a bit of clean up. My profile photo could now be uploaded to the site at least :-)

All, a quick follow up on my question for trailer/lift bunk placements since although the manual shows the hull profiles for various model boats, there is no indication of where the stringers are or where one should position supports to properly keep the boat lifted when out of the water. The factory guy indicated that in the diagrams in the manuals, "The only bunk placement that makes any sense is between "C" and "D" on the trailer diagram."
