Went out today to see what I could see. Got a 45" cobia on a knocker rig with a grunt. Hit it on the way down. Had a bunch of knockdowns on the grunts while trying the wrecks for sheepshead. But this one was solid, and I got some good head shakes and a couple nice runs, so I was pretty sure it wasn't a shark. Happy to see the dark brown and bright white belly of a personal best cobia... I had a sabiki rod out with a number 12 (the bigger ones) and the sabiki gets hit and starts pulling drag. Likely a red snapper. I get it up to the surface and see the red, confirming suspicions when I see a light brown swirl. I wasn't sure if I saw it or not, but I reeled the rest of the head in and that confirmed that. So, I hook a 3-lb red snapper on a sabiki rod that then gets eaten by a shark. The coolest part was when I threw the head in, a kingfish swam up and ate it! SO, they're here, too. When we ran in, there were pogey pods of the beach around Hannah, so, it's officially the season! Attachments:

Did you try any trolling for Dolphin? Are they migrating through NE Florida yet?

Good job on the brown fish. I’m in a cobia tournament next weekend and hope to land a few.
