Hey Everyone. I wanted to share my boat and ask a few questions. I just changed the sparks on my 07 115s. Prior to the starboard motor ran about 400 rpm lower than port. They were at 5300 and 5700 WOT. I changed the sparks and was out yesterday and the rpms read 4300 starboard 5000 port. Any clue why the drop in rpms? They are the correct sparks. Also the starboard motor runs a little rougher than port and I get a vibration from 2000 rpm til maybe 3, 3500. Basically 10-20mph than it goes away. IM going to replace the fuel lines and bulbs next. Any help is appreciated.

Replace the VST filter and clean/replace injectors is where I would start.

Nice color!
I agree, RPM is probably a fuel issue. Water separator to injectors…. Any of the filters may have a partial blockage.
Based on the rpm’s you state, your vibration is probably prop ventilation. Try that rpm range with your trim tabs full down and see if it doesn’t go away. The hull is making a hole in the water and props are sucking air.

Ok. Ill try that. Thanks guys. When I had the boat surveyed and motors gone through, the mechanic did recommend at the end of the season take off the injectors and send them out to be cleaned. I will replace the fuel filters and water separators next. Appreciate the help!

Maybe try putting those old plugs back in and see where the rpms go. Strange that you lost rpms when changing the plugs. I have the same boat and motors and went to 4 blades 15's years ago much better than the 3 blades. I don't recall any vibrations with the 3 blades but lots of ventilation.

So apparently I had the motors trimmed to low. My sensors are bad so I can't tell where they are so I never played with them while underway. I trimmed them up while on plane and got the rpms back to where they are supposed to be 5700 or so. Having the trim tabs all the way down did in fact lessen the vibration significantly. It could be ventilation like you said. The boat is so new to me Im just figuring all this stuff out. I will be going to 4 blade over the winter. What size props are you running with? I also replaced the water separators and the fuel was clean, no water or sludge. I will be doing the fuel filters next

All sounds like good news! The tilt/trim sensors get all gummed up with grease and need regular cleaning. Eventually you will quit that BS and just eyeball the motors, your wake, and RPMs to evaluate your trim. But if you trim all the way up, look for the sensor on the tilt tube just starboard of center. There’s a fixed stop clamped around the tube that the sending unit hits to move a small tab…. Hard to describe. Hard mush to find, until someone points it out to you and you see how stupid simple it is.

So. I went to instal new (refurbished) OEM injectors I bought.. When I was looking at the bolts to remove the fuel rail I noticed my 3rd injector electronic connection wasn't connected. I have no idea how I didn't see this but unless you really looked I must have just not noticed or overlooked it.. Plugged it in and wouldn't you know it, boat ran perfect. RPMs back to normal, right on plane, and all vibration gone.. Thanks for the help guys Im glad this was the issue and its all figured out now. Learned a lot about the fuel system in the process.
