I had that color, it's a bitch to keep looking good. Spent many-a-hours each year with the rotary in-hand.

It's time for paint or a huge wet sand job. We have a member here with a dark color hull orange. He spent crazy hours to restore the gel coat and it works if your willing to put the work into it. I’m the crazy hours guy. Pic 1 is 2019, pic 2 is Jan 2021 after hull was wet sanded. Pic 3 is Feb 2021 after I sanded bottom paint, wet sanded and polished white gel coat. Still looks bright today. 40 hours to wet sand orange and 80 hours to remove bottom paint. I had a detailer wet sand the hull. Best $1000 I ever spent.

Wow! I've never seen nasty looking bottom paint removed like that, but what a difference that made along with the treatment on the rest of the hull! Looks great!!

Thanks guys. Probably my best DIY job ever. Four straight weekends of 10-hour days. And I never got aggravated. Guess I hated the bottom paint too much to be discouraged. Wife doesn’t complain of the orange much anymore now that the bottom paint is gone.
