I just took out our new to me 2660 wac for a run around the columbia river and the wind was blowing pretty good, maybe 20-25mph and the handling was terrible. I seemed like it really wanted to bow steer, it was listing to which om guessing is mainly the wind, but the stern was riding fairly low in the water. The bait tank was empty and the fresh water is nearly empty. The boat has twin yamaha 150 and I'm considering putting a set of 4 blades on it, to help get the back of the boat out of the water more. Also the engines are placed all the way down in the bottom hole. Thanks in advance.

Hi, what about trim of engines and trim tab settings? Any more info on those settings?

tried the technique of tabs down and trim up, mostly in light wind chop conditions for two days, worked well, got a bit better MPG out of it when running around 4200 rpms, my settings were, one bar of lights on the Lenco down, 3 bars on my yamaha command system up. More than 3 bars caused bouncing and when correcting with more tabs down will slow down the boat. So my best setting was 1 bars tabs down - 3 bars trim up, FYI I have dual Yam 150

As no nolackline talked about keep making adjustments every condition will very slightly but that's what you need to do to learn the way to achieve the best performance of your boat.
