Changing batteries, I marked all the cables, removed the straps but cannot lift the batteries out. Any ticks I should know about?

Is this battery replacement month?! Lift the center first, tilt a bit and lift straight up. If that doesn't work, find someone stronger.

IT IS BATERY REPLACEMENT MONTH!! To make it easier, remove the access door by removing the screws from the hinges. This will enable you to better position yourself for better leverage. The batteries weigh about 60lbs a piece so make sure you can lift 60lbs while bent over and upside down. Oh yeah! Plan on some bumps and scrapes on your hands. You also have to remove the straps which I think you know to do. As with you I labeled my cables but I used color coded tie wraps. There is no easy way as the 270 actually has less room than the 290 to move and groove the batteries. Pull the middle one first by fishnfool's directions and then slide the other 2 into position and repeat. Good Luck and let us know how it all went.
