I'm thinking of adding a 20"or 30" light bar for my night time trips. Most have an over all hight of 4" when mounted. My concerns about moving forward is if it would interfere with the radar. I guess I could just place a piece of wood 2x4 then turn on the radar on and see what happens. Anyone using one ?

Why not just ditch that spreader light, keep it as a spare and install the bar in that location?

Why not just ditch that spreader light, keep it as a spare and install the bar in that location? That was one of my thoughts to mount on the under side. I don't know how it would affect the way the light would shine on The water I've never seen them mounted underneath they're always on top. But that sure would eliminate any doubt about the radar.

I try to check at least yearly and for sure whenever I add or change LEDs.
