My boat could benefit from a system like this. Too bad it's so damn expensive.

Xmass gift. Can't wait to see how you install it. Just think you would have been fishing all week. Lol

"100 movements a second" equals lots of expensive repairs in my humble opinion...looks pretty cool though! PS would this negate the need for spray rails?

Fancy trim tabs or not, I wouldn't be out there in 20 knot winds 6' waves at 5 seconds! LMAO I made it outside the inlet today for the first time since we've been here, ran up the beach. Winds settled down some today but 6' swells were taking a toll on my wife, she was getting sick. Lol

I'm not sure how these could be installed on my hull with that recessed trim tab pocket we have.

I wonder how much for the DIY install kit๐ The video is pretty compelling but even this system has limits when the worst days occur, but it does seem to keep on top of 2-3 footers nicely. Give me a couple of Sharrow props and this system and maybe I'd be happy for a while! After the autopilot of course...
I did just complete the addition of an NMEA2000 backbone network and tying in the engine data, AIS, Fusion stereo and remote and SiriusXM to have them all viewable and controller from the MFDs (Raymarine Axiom 9s). That was enough for a little while!

That was enough for a little while! It's a never ending battle to 'improve'. My list grows each year. The family that bought my previous boat was thrilled at all I had added - they never saw the list of things I still wanted to install.
And how can you manage without an autopilot? That was my first addition. After having one on my previous boat I knew I never wanted a boat without an autopilot.

I agree, autopilot is on the list and after having it on my prior boat I do see it as necessary...the boat didn't come with it however and the budget right now says no. But that won't be forever! Networking everything was more just to get basic functionality going, especially to see the engine data all on one screen since the Yamaha display has you paging around to see it all. The rest was just "nice" to have networked...but tell the Admiral that. She thinks it's all really needed to run the boat properly!๐

I've been eyeing these. Looks cool. I'm not sure when they will be available to be purchased separately, but I'd love to hear personal experiences when they do become available.

If you saw the episode of Wicked Tuna when little shells boat their see keeper broke the mounts and started jumping in the hull busted everything ripped the deck apart it was violent

I was thinking about one for my next boat. After the Wicked Tuna incident I'm not so sure. I believe I read it takes about 45 minutes to come to a stop after turning off. Gosh, that could be a very exciting 45 minutes. I've got to admit the videos I've seen make it impressive. No more rocking side to side or banging onto waves.
Since my Sailfish wasn't designed with one in mind I'd be uneasy about adding one. Plus...There's no damn room under the deck for anything. Sure wouldn't want it on the deck. Plus yearly maintenance that has to be done by a certified technician. No, thank you.

The Seakeeper Ride is something new. It is a transom mounted system that is designed more for when the boat is under way. ride.seakeeper.com/
