I called my dealer and asked for a quote. It’s worth at least getting a quote and more info.

I haven’t heard yet. They have to talk to Sea Keeper about retrofitting it on the 245. I don’t know if there are any on a SF yet. They might have to do some programming??

I was quoted $6500 installed by BOE no special programming or the like. The only thing they would have to do is fill in my trim tab pockets which I imagine would cost me another +/-$2k.

That's about what I was thinking it would be. The videos I've seen online are very impressive.

I just talked to SeaKeeper. I'm going to arrange a demo ride. They have a place not too far from me. We would then need to arrange some logistics with installation location. If I had a trailer, I could keep it in my driveway for a few days to have the work done there. But, SK is trying to find a place that I can pull up on the water, locally. My dealer is not able to do the work on their property because it would be SK installing it and not Marine Max. So, there are some insurance issues, etc.

I went on a demo boat on Monday. Well, it wasn't so much a demo boat. Just a boat that Seakeeper owns that happened to have the Ride system installed. Unfortunately, it was a flats bay boat and the water was really calm with not a lot of other boat traffic. Even still, I was able to see what it did for that boat, so I'm taking the next steps. I just need to hear back on a price and location for installation.

We all await your decision with bated breath (or for the serious fishermen who keep their bait close at hand, perhaps it should be with "baited" breath...).

Haha.
I will most likely go for it. It's just a matter of when.

We're moving in the right direction. I found someone local to install it. His shop is probably an hour and a half away on the water. He's going to contact Seakeeper because they have a facility that is about an hour closer. I'll keep everyone updated.

Just an update. I didn't go ahead with the SK Ride. The logistics just didn't work out. I'm probably just going to go with the auto tabs for now.

Appreciate the update. I am tempted to add the auto tab upgrade, for $900 that seems like a game changer and you don't get many games changers at that price point! Of course, by now they probably cost $1300 thanks to inflation...
Dang it! I meant that last line as a bit of sarcasm, but I just looked and the West Marine price is $1,249.99. GRRRRR.

Yeah, the 'sarcasm' price is what I've been seeing.

The good news is that I've already bitten off the cost of adding the NMEA network so aside from an additional cable and T, I won't have a ton of expenses if I decide to do it. Also, there are places that have it for less than West Marine (I know that is hard to believe, right?).

The Lectrotab auto tab controller does the job, but it's not to be compared with these stability control devices.
I'm very happy with my purchase esp for the cost compared against these more expensive options.
Incidentally I did just get an email from BOE that they were running an aggressive sale and install special on the SK Ride system.
If you have any questions about the Lectrotab auto trim controller let me know, happy to help.
