Hi folks, new guy here with a 245 DC. Love the boat, got about a month on it before it hit the hard for the winter. When I winterized the head I noticed the pink fluid on the head floor.
Looks like a leak with the black discharge elbow behind the toilet. Anyone know how hard it is to remove the head? Looks like two Philip head screws.. just not sure if I need to be worried about losing a backing plate on a screw or if this is all fixed to the fiberglass underneath.
Appreciate any input from this group

Welcome aboard. If you don't get an answer here you might want to call Sailfish. They've been pretty good about getting me and others answers.

Kc144 welcome and enjoy your boat! Winter will be long while you wait to get it in the water again. I haven't had the fun of removing my head (yet) so can't really give you advice there, but this is a great forum to share and learn on.

Hi Folks, just a quick update.
Heard back from Sailfish (Aaron) today and he shared this “ It's pretty straight forward. No backing plate to worry about. It screws into a "T" bracket that is attached to the deck”.
So should be straight forward.

Glad Aaron got you an answer. Let us know what you find as there are several of us with 245DCs that will be interested in the outcome.
