Well here we go again Florida. Another storm headed our way due to hit the east coast Wednesday around midnight. They are only predicting a Category 1 but I remember Jeanne in 2004 went from a 1 to a 3 in 12 hours. It’s projected to hit Stuart to Vero so we’re either getting the eye or all the tornadoes on the north side of the storm. Shutters are in place, food is stored, water on hand, vehicles are gassed up, propane tanks are ready for the gas grill, generator is ready and gas cans are filled, all I gotta get now is a case of beer. Hopefully it’s a fast moving storm with minimal damage. Storey will be written in 72 hours.

Here for you buddy. You need a place to camp for a few days you can come to the west coast. Just say the word. Bring that bell. We'll give it a new meaning on overcoming adversities!

Sounds like you've done this before. Glad you're prepared. It'd be nice if it blows itself out before it gets to the coast.

She’s coming into the south of us projected to hit Stuart so we will be on the nasty north side of it. Projected winds are 80-90. Hoping not too many tornadoes kick up. Thanks for the invite Jerry. We can endure the Cat 1, however, it’s our first run at one in our 45 year old house. Interested to see how we fare.

Offer stands. We have a room and pets are ok. Just bring the case of beer you were going to get. Seriously, PM me if you want to head out. I know too well how it can be and we were lucky enough to have places to go to get away from the storm and its aftermath. Time to pay it back

Well that was one of the easiest Cat 1 storms I’ve been through. Never lost power, although 19000 others did, no damage, yard clean up only took 75 min and had all shutters down by 11 am. Our beachside boardwalks had some erosion and localized flooding in all the expected areas of town. By 2:00 this afternoon seemed like every business was back in operation. Definitely a blessing to come through without any serious issues.
